Gender: | My buddy and me had a discussion the other day about training......i have been training in the gym for years and have seen great results from it same goes for my workout partner....but at the same token I see these guys come out of prison big as fk.....now in prison they have no weights and can't eat that great, but still seem to put on the size. Pretty much all they can do is push-ups, pull-ups and some kind of lifts using a water bag. So most of the time they are using relatively light weight, and high reps as opposed to the heavy weights, and lower reps that I use in the gym. And of course I eat alot more protein and food then they do. Now if they are working out every day I would think that they would be overtraining their bodys but something has to be working for them cause alot of guys come out looking swole as all hell. Now my question to myself is how can this be possible.....can you realy put on more mass just doing push-ups n pull-ups then all the different exercizes in the gym....is it better to use lighter weight with higher reps?? How about training every day doing the same shit every day...can the body adapt enough to just power through it and build mass on top of mass....even without a high calorie diet? Anyone have any input on this subject?? Sometimes I feel like I'm wasting all my money on a gym membership when I can just sit at home and do push-ups n pull-ups and still see great gains in mass. ![]() |

| Most prisons in the US still have wieght rooms, many behavior therapists vouch for the positive effects resistance training offers. As for Cali, I didnt know they took them away, but I dont think it is a state wide thing. Even if one prison takes them away, others still use them. lets not forget that just because your in prison, does not mean you dont have access to steroids. Many people have the misconception that you cant get illegal things in prison, and that is so far from the truth. |

Gender: | How many people do you personally know who have gone in and come out of prison? I mean plus having knowledge of what they looked like before they went in? Besides what the others have said there is a misconception that EVERYONE gets swole in prison. Someone wrote a whole silly article on prison weight training way back... |
