Ok, Kane and Anuj, I think we're all in basic agreement here.

I don't want to convolute matters anymore .

Anuj, look in the bodybuilding glossary in the training section and look up those terms Kane reffered to. You refer to tempo while disregarding intensity, rep range, etc., which makes it meaningless. You refer to "OVT shoulders" without seeming to understand that in essence, OVT is simply high volume split work, notwithstanding the "optimized" part, and is certainly not inherently superior in any basic sense. You could get the same results with other types of training, if, as Kane says, you use the optimal intensity, rep ranges, frequency, etc.

But I think we've hyjacked the thread

Just to make it clear I will use an example. Shoulder press...If your 1RM is 200lbs, and you're doing that exercise for a 3x3 once a week with 100lbs on the bar. Terrible combination of intensity (using 100lbs), rep range and frequency . Hope that makes my point clear ;)

and yes...hijack and a half this is my last post in the thread lol

Kane's Sig:Bench:275 [1x1]
Deadlift:365 [1x3]
A2G Squat:275 [1x3]

"Shut up and squat!"

"NO, this is my squat rack. Go get your own!"

No no, bro. I only meant that we were straying too far from the original intention of ebabbit's thread...

I would NEVER shut down a discussion for no reason . We can move it to your journal or something...
