Gender: | What is your goal. If you want to gain muscle then I wouldn't just do them anytime. They need to be incorporated into a routine or you could end up overtraining certain muscles, like say, your chest. More is not always better. |

If I were you I'd just stick to weightlifting at a higher rep range. You'll reep more benefits than pushups. For strength training, burnouts aren't advisable. It'll do nothing more than fatigue your chest. |

Gender: | my brother does this if you want to try something different for a pushup routine.. every time you get done going to the bathroom, after you flush the toilet, drop down and do as many pushups as you can until the water stops running and the bowl is full.. I know it sounds funny but my brother can do a crazy amount of pushups from doing this... |

When I was in Kung Fu, what we did was to position our hands differently after every ten pushups: 10-on our outside wrists 10-knuckles 10-fingers inboard 10-fingers outboard 10-regular It'll give you a quick break in between, and will keep it interesting. Your goal is to increase those numbers every workout. |
