Oh, lol, it's all cool I see what you're saying now. We're each talking around each other, sorry

EricT's Sig:I'm tired of the myth that bb'rs aren't flexible. As a group, they are extremely flexible. They have an amazing ability to bend over, place their heads between their legs, and blow smoke up their own asses.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice u all have given.

But, what I want to know that for light to moderate exercises why does one have to perform many sets.

Why aren't the muscles worked out optimally by a single set.

This is the best way I feel I can respond to your question.

When you lift little girl weights you don't provide much stimulation. If you lift baby weights for lots and lots of reps, then your muscles will just get tired. You need to lift the chick weights using high reps that are spaced out so that you aren't just tiring your muscles out.

Bottomline: You need to provide an environment that will make your muscles adapt (grow) and not just tire them out. You can provide much more intensity using manageable reps and sets rather than one monster set.

Glossary:
Girl weights- Very light weights (50% Intensity)
Baby Weights- Those coloured weights the old people use while jogging on the treadmill
Chick weights- Moderate Weights (70-80% Intensity)

Kane's Sig:Bench:275 [1x1]
Deadlift:365 [1x3]
A2G Squat:275 [1x3]

"Shut up and squat!"

"NO, this is my squat rack. Go get your own!"
