Gender: | I feel like I'm cheating myself. I went to the gym yesterday to work shoulder and back, and I felt that I killed myself. I felt the weight was right meaning that the last set was difficult but I got it up. I'm increasing my lifts and showing improvement, but I feel cheated because I am not sore. Should I be lifting more? I don't know if diet has anything to do with soreness, but I'm not taking any supplements and eating like a madman. Lots of tuna, chicken, eggs, potato's, and pastas. Any advice would help. Thanks guys |

Some of it depends on how long you've been doing your current routine. If your reps are the same or you've been using the same machines over and over again without change, it could result in minimal DOMS. If you are (like you said) increasing the weight on the bar and seeing improvement, then feeling sore won't matter whatsoever. The funny thing is, within the next half a day I bet you'll start to feel sore. Sometimes it takes a while before it sets in. |

Gender: | Try pre fetigue or isolation movements, for a couple of weeks you may not hit very heavy weight but when you go back to your routine you may feel more benefit and hit even hevier weight, ( just a sugestion ). |

Gender: | I just changed routine to the 5x5. Days after a workout I just seem to get a little tight. But like you said, I'm gonna look at the bright side and since I am increasing weight for the time being, I'll just use it to my advantage. Thanks for the info guys. If things go bad, I'll try what you suggested Hitman. Thanks guys |
