| Rank: New Member | i'ma be joining track for my school next year and i wanna know where i can get a routine for training to get me alot faster and have more endurance, and what i should eat. i'm planning on doing the bulk of my training over the next 3 months, any suggestions? |

| Rank: New Member | What distance do you plan on competing in? Short distance (100 m to 400 m) or middle distance (800- 1500m ) or longer distance (3000m - Steeple Chase)...? I competed in highschool and university track and cross country for over 10 years. I was a middle distance and long distance runner! At your age...to be honest...if you want to become faster than I would put the bulk of your focus into actuall run training. The majority of guys I competed with never touched weights throughout there careers and these were national level runners... Weight training is more for the off season... |

| Rank: New Member | i'm gonna be doing the 100 and 200 but i'm gonna be in cross country too so.. yeah. i wanna train for speed and endurance. so just run then? should i do one day intense running and the next day power-walking/jogging, and just alternating like that? |

Gender: | I can't really imagine a succesful sprinter being able to do cross country or the other way around. You'll either be a slow sprinter or have no endurance for long distance. I thing you need to pick one and stick to it. |
