Not too much. The one I carried was probably like 40-50lbs. Its just the awkwardness of getting your arms around a big box like thing.

great post...im going on vacation next week and was trying to find a hotel with a gym...but now i got some ideas and ill just bring some stuff with me instead

I hear you IW. One of the more interesting things that I have found, playing around with my equipment, is how difficult it is to do a set of squats with an empty 55gallon drum (squat, bear hug the barrel and lift). I think that the weight being situated so far out in front of you causes a lot of mechanical disadvantage which translates to much more resistance than you might experience with ... say a 35 DB. The drum itself is only 35lbs, but after a set of ten my PC was adequately fatigued. I'm talking MUCH more direct targeting than I feel on a normal squat.

In fact, it very closely simulates the "stand" movement in loading stones (which is why I started playing with it to begin with).
