Default Two common questions about weight lifting.

1.) Is it better to do all your sets at once on the same activity or is it better to switch on and off between sets with different exercises?

2.) Is it better to do a muscle group once a week like some people do or is it better to do groups every other day. Say it's a workout schedule or 3-4 weeks.

So in other words is it better to do like:

Mon: Just chest
Wed: Just arms
Fri: Just back and shoulders
Then repeat next week
or
Mon: Chest, Biceps, etc.
Tues: Triceps, back, neck
Wed: Same as Mon
Thurs: Same as Tues

Thanks!

QUESTION TO JAG:

WHY ARE YOU NOT PAYING HEED TO THE ADVICE OFFERED TO YOU BY 0311, ERIC, DAVE, etc?

i just want to know. if u ARE listening to even one of the vet's advice then u wont need an answer to this question

This is like moving a pile of rocks from one place to another over and over again.

thats why i said i want to know if he is paying heed to our advice or not. its a waste of energy to help him if he isnt gonna do shit. he comes by every now and then with some pathetic question (like this which has been answered in the stickies) and refuses to listen to what other experienced senior lifters (like u guys) tell him.

Someone pictured hell as a place where you have to move a really huge pile of sand from one place to another with only a bucket with a hole in the bottom. When you are done, you have to move it back, and so on...

Ok, well thanks for being nice guys and answering my question.

To answer yours because I actually answer people's question flat out is because I got a million different responses and you guys never agreed on one thing so which one did I know to go by?

This is a quote specifically from one of the threads asking for which program you want to use. I'm positively 100% sure if you search on the forums for " HST " and look for a specific program layout, you would find it. Seek information from what has already been posted, then ask for more direction from a veteran lifter.

triqqey's Sig:"The iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told that you're a god or a total bastard. The iron will always kick you the real deal. The iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends come and go, but 200 pounds is always 200 pounds."

HST templates are definitely in the journals, alot of people have done them. Cutting HST, bulking HST all that shit.

Good advice triggey...doubt he will follow through though
