A fresh start

Hey guys! I'm glad I found this website. I have never been happy with my body and have finally decided to do something about it. I came to this site looking for help but found that nobody was just like me or going for the exact same goals so I was thinking that you guys and gals may have some information that might work for me.

I recently turned 18 and will be starting college, hopefully at the university of Florida, in the summer, and would like to go with a brand new body. I am just under 6 feet tall and probably 140-150 pounds. Sounds skinny but I actually have plenty of fat on my stomach which has been the bane of my existence for as long as I can remember. I want a body that I can be proud of, and not ashamed when I take off my shirt.

I don't know if I should take dietary supplements and work out, because I already don't weigh much, but at the same time I want to get rid of my excess fat. If you guys have any ideas regarding supplements and/or a work out plan I would be more than glad to hear them.

Thank you guys so much,
Mike

Everyone is different, it all depends on what you actually want in the end, are you saying you want to lose some fat and gain some muscle? If so, how much fat did you want to lose or how much muscle did you want to gain? Or did you just want to tone a little? All I can say for the time being is clean up your diet, and don't take training routines from magazines.

ps. Welcome to the site

Do you lift weights already? If so, what is your routine like?

Do you do any cardio/how much/how often?

Do you have a structured diet plan? If so, what are the macros?

That should help us get started.

Hey 41,

When I first started lifting weights I was what you would call skinny fat. I was skinny all over but had a belly that didn't match the rest of my body.

It sounds to me like you have about 8 months or so until you start college.

So what I did was to first go on a weight loss diet and exercise program. It only took about a month and half to loose the gut and then I went onto a mass building cycle.

With your time frame you should have enough time to get jacked before you enter college.

Good Luck!

Take Care,
Steve Reeves
