Best cardio routine?
I started to find out about minimal intensity cardio, substantial intensity interval training and I started out to use a variety of cardio machines available at the gym.
What is your best cardio routine ?
Here's 8 HIT and HIT interval training routines I swear by to really crank your heart rate. I tend to mix them up a little. You dont need to complete each one but they will easily burn fat if you do them 3-4 times a week. Be careful with the kettlebell snatches though or any other jerking movement..keep focus on legs and make sure you stretch even more than you would for a normal workout. The best cardio is swimming but the public pool where I live is like 6 bucks or something...bastards!
Trail running....with hills/elevation if you have it in your area.
Trails work your entire core....stepping around and over rocks, roots, etc. Lose focus and you'll eat it.
If you have an area with hills, then you have intervals already built into your route. Proper form moving up and down hills will strengthen core, knees, joints, etc.
This makes road running feel very boring, not to mention treadmills and cardio machines.
