Best jobs for hardgainers
 
Since the better part of my day is spent at work. I've come at a crossroads about which type of job to choose that would best suit my bodybuilding fitness goals. I have just started bodbuilding at age 30 and I'm very enthusiastic about it. I've always been super skinny and I've decided to do something about it. I'm lucky enough to be able to choose from a variety of jobs, but basically it boils down to two types.

The first type is the physically active/demanding type of job like landscaping or construction. Currently I'm a carpenter and I love the motivation and energy it gives me, but it pays very little and at the end of the day I am poofed. In general however, I feel more fit and in better shape than I did when I worked at the office though I burn alot of calories and stay thin.

The second type is the well paying desk job. Extra money means extra buying at the supplement store. However I'm Immobile for most of the day and I usually get drowsy and sun deprived. I can gain weight though while at this type of job because I burn less calories and though I feel less active I figure I can compensate at the gym as well as recuperate pretty fast while on the job.

My question is what type of job would be the best choice for a hardgainer like me who is trying to pack on pounds of muscle mass and general body weight while going to the gym on a daily basis?

Make the right life choice man. Choose the higher paying job especially in this economy. A lower paying job may mean better fitness but what you sacrifice for a little workout isn't worth it. Take the desk job, and don't become stagnant. I'm a computer nerd and often find myself answering customer calls.... you'd be amazed how many push ups you can get off while you get a customer to reboot.. once.. twice... three times :p

Take the better paying desk job. That way *YOU* choose what stresses you put on your body like lifting weight and cardio. It's probably easier to stay on a meal plan at a desk as well. You can control a lot more variables when working at a desk which is what strength training and bodybuilding is all about.
