Default do you think its possible

i weighed myself today naked and im right at 150... the school record for squat in the 150 weightclass is 335 pounds...

id really like to break this. They do the record breaking for 2 weeks long at end of febuary and beginging of march.

right now my max for squat is 290... do you think its possible for me to gain the extra weight in about a month? and stil be able to cut down to 150 pounds... cause i cant move up a weightclass cause it would be 175 and that record is 390..

what do u guys think, should i push myself pottentially to hard or just forget about it and work on getting as strong as i can without worrying about the record

i dont really wanan argue with people whether or not i could do it but i guarntee u i could, our wrestling coach is the guy who does the record things and im going pass parralel so they do count he says, and yea most peopel in the gym think im crazy for putting that much weight on but when im able to do it they shut up... so im not exagerating or anything..
my bench is only 155 and my deadlift is really low i think at 205 pounds but for some reason i can do squats

45lbs in one month is possible. That means that every time you squat your going to have to put 10 extra lbs on there(5lbs per side). Like Sentinal said don't rush and you should be able to do this.... Good luck

im also worried about gaining too much weight,, ive gained like 25 or 30 in the pass 2 months or so im just worried il be like 160 or so and il be able to do the record but wont be in my weightclass...

does anyone know the most amount of weight you can loose ina day and stil have your strength... like if im 155 or so i should be able to loose 5 pounds of water weight and not feel like total dickhole right

A 150 pounder doing 290 past parallel is pretty high up there. Anything's possible but I doubt 45 pounds in a month and that level is realistic. Ten pounds a week is a lot when you're that weight and already lifting that much. So don't hurt yourself.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

Its not worth hurting yourself over, go at it slow.

Besides, if you stay at your wieght now, and break the record in april what are they gonna say? That it didnt count? Shit you still broke it, who cares about the time frame?
