Default excess skin

ok so..i do everything i'm suppose to do..i do the shit that people don't do (aka SQUATS) ahem for all u girls out there! but my god do i have this little kangaroo pouch BULLSHIT that won't get off of me. is surgery the only way? i lost a lot of weight probably the wrong way ( eating good + working out but gorging on a turtle sundae at 10 pm) lol i know i'm a beast in the weightroom because i can feel the stares when i bench or squat. i know i have more intensity then anyone in that gym, but my stomach isn't lookin that hot. my chest feels amazing and i can run a mile in 6 minutes but i dont get why i'm not looking like superman. i'm about 185 5'11. i feel great but my stomach is just stupid..any tips would help..not to mention stretch marks on my hips and stomach...and i have a hot ass girlfriend so i gotta do something about this! :-/

Same as ever: cardio and diet. You say yourself you could lose some treats like the turtle sundae, so go ahead and lose 'em. That stuff right before bed is probably not the best idea.

What does your routine look like? I don't mean just lifting, either, though that's part of it - do you do any cardio?

IK said it well - diet HAS to be in place to lose fat, cardio is an auxiliary tool to help you get there, and, just to keep some perspective, those 'trouble spots' (like love handles for most people, your stomach for you) are gonna probably be the last place the fat starts disappearing from.

trust me i don't eat that shit anymore at all..maybe test tastes but i never get sundaes or anything. I workout everyday at cardinal fitness alone with my IPOD. I wake up and usually eat 3 eggs, yogurt, whole grain bread with peanutbutter and sometimes some pomegranate juice. 30 min before a workout i'll have a 10oz whey with water. I work out 5 x a week and leave weekends for work and chill with friends / gf ( i'm in college ) i know i work hard and eat proper. I eat tuna out of the can or with whole grain bread a lot..i drink a lot of water but the downfall is my mom's cooking. she doesn't care what we eat and i tend to eat what she makes me. before i go to bed i have a protein shake with milk for overnight causes and a multivitamin. i don't do much cardio like i used to..i lost 45 lbs doing weights+cardio but i havent touched cardio in a while..here and there and i know that's my problem. I love to jumprope cause i'm amazing at it but my workouts feel cardio based anyways...clean&jerks, squats, etc..so sweaty that i feel i don't need to do cardio. i know i need to though if i want abs..any tips? if i do run it's after i workout for sure cause my muscles are depleted.

First off... if you pinch that area between your fingers, how thick is it? Is there still some 'meat' there?

It doesn't have to be a run, just by the by, as you mentioned with the jumprope thing. Every morning I do 15-20 minutes of agility/speed drills on an agility ladder, and that works well for me (partially because it's less impact, and I have a bad knee, like a lot of lifters).

I also recently tried a routine called the Tabata program or something like that -

http://www.t-nation.com/findArticle....4-046-training

There's a couple articles about it (ignore all the junk on the second one). If anyone who reads that sees a glaring problem with that training style, then I guess that's my bad - but having tried it I'm inclined to say it works pretty well. Just a few thoughts on alternatives to straight-up running.

ok, so it's not 'excess skin.' ;)

Caloric deficit, and continued weight training. It takes time to get there, man.

i know that there is fat in that area but trust me..there is a pouch just hanging .. with stretch marks.. it's excess skin i'm tellin ya..it just looks weird. i can run a mile in 6 minutes and do more pushups then anyone i know. i know i'm fit and eat healthy. maybe i just have to fit a lot more cardio in..i'm lazy when it comes to cardio because i run but don't see results so i get pissed. helppp! how do i look like you blah..i want to look sexy for my gf..she says im fine but i just dont feel like it. my chest is amazing but my stomach isnt..i do squats, clean&jerks and a lot of stuff people don't do. sometimes i wonder what i'm doing wrong! grr

If there's still thickness to it, then you need to get rid of the fat under there in order to see if it really IS excess skin; if the elasticity in your skin isn't going to come back. If it ends up like that, the only real option is surgery.
