I started much younger than you--about 14 years old. I remember I could not bench press 135 lb because that's what they had on the bar (trying to work out with the football team). Don't get discouraged if this is your first time training--gotta start somewhere.

Hey!

First tried weightlifting when i was 15 or smthng.. Couldnt lift the bar 5 times.

It gets better. ;)

Its true. You will feel weak when you start but your strength will shoot up quick if you keep at it and eat. Your body just has to learn the movement and learn how to tell all the muscle groups involved how to push all together in the same direction. Neural adaptions = newbie gains.

Hang in there, you're doing fine. Oh yeah, stay away from the machines... at least for the big lifts.
