getting a bigger chest
What's Going On People? I Have Been Lifting For 3 Years. Recently I've Been Hitting The Gym Hard Particulary My Chest. I Don't See Any Results, But I Go Up In Weight. I Lift More Weight And It Seems Like My Chest Isn't Getting Any Bigger. What Am I Doing Wrong?????????

Are squats that important? I've been goin to my school gym to do them but not a long time. Schools out now and gym is closed are there any exercises that are close to what squats do for you?
Compound movements are the most important thing to do to increase testestrone production and over all physique and strengh. Squats are absoutlly important, as well as the other compound movements.

Therein lies the problem. Work every muscle with equal attention and intensity and you'll grow. If you are keeping the rep range no less than 6 reps and no more than 12 and your form is good then it'll come. You might be thinking too critical about yourself. Think about this: If you bench 3 sets at 200 lbs one week, then the next week you bench 220 for 3 sets...You're gaining more muscle to be able to lift that->muscular overload.

Gotta say, I agree with all of these guys, particularly on the squat thing. I know it sounds weird, but it's true. That's why power lifters (who usually stick to the most compound movements, ie. Squats, bench, deadlift etc) have such thick chests.
Here's something you can try, to shake things up a bit with your routine however. Maybe it'll spark some growth.
I've always been a big believer in super sets. Not sure why, but for some reason, but when I super set two movements from opposite body parts, I get great results. Not everyone I've worked out with has, but it sure works for me.
Example, I'll do a set of heavy dumbell curls and then quickly switch to tri-cep rope pull downs. Next thing you know, my arms are like balloons they are so swollen. I'll do several sets like this and then continue my arm work out if I feel it's necessary. Sometimes, it's all I need though.
For you, for chest, I've found that doing wide grip bench press (heavy) in to bent over rows (medium to heavy) makes my chest and upper back swell up with blood. The next few days I can already notice a marked difference and I feel all nice and sore. Might be worth giving a try. Other than that, these guys on here can give you the best advice. They are the experts.

How old are you? If u are 18 and worrying about not having a chest, then ur fast metabolism might be the thing to blame. :D

yes! i knew not having a fast metabolism would eventually have its advantages :D
