I'm too small!

Hello, I am 14 years old, and only weigh 79 pounds. I would really like to bulk up next year so that I can be on the wrestling team. When schools starts again in September I would like to be at least 100 pounds. Can anyone respond with a diet plan and/or a training routine for me. I have my own bench, with dumbells and barbells. Please respond.

just read everything on this board. All the journals, articles and threads on nutrition and training... there is so much. after you get done reading then pick a workout program and come up with a diet and we'll critic it then. but for a short answer, eat alot more.

Can't think of a workout routine or diet plan.

I'm new to this, can u give me a good workout routine and diet plan. Remember, I want something that will make me gain at least 20 pounds in 2 months, and 30-40 pounds by September.

read the how to bulk article and then go to the training page and pick one routine.. if you have never worked out before you will grow just by eating and picking up weight. and at your age the Test levels are going up so you will grow.

When I was 14 I weighed somewhere around 140 pounds, the best thing that I would do was get up in the morning, drink a big protien shake with 2 sausage and biscut sandwitches everyday for breakfast. After that go through a good workout(alternating what you do...bench one day, squats the next)and then finish up the day with about 100-150 pushups. This might not be the best thing for you, but I put on about 40/50 pounds of muscle in about 7 months. But then again, your still pretty young so you might have to wait until you get your groth spirt.....

Verb, could you please provide a list of non-edible things? :)

wow bigbizman, you are in a great position. You get to eat an eat an eat.

train hard, and you will grow. there is no magic to it, and its not hard, its just hard work.

dedicate your self, and ask questions ... everyone here will help.

hahaha well i see that Eric and Hardgainer prolly dont approve of my suggestions, but i figured if you have problems puttin on weight you might as well take advantage of it....food tastes good :) as far as edible things lol i meant anything that is humanly possible to consume since i did mention eat everything you see lol.

seriously though eat alot of chicken, fish, vegetables and try to eat every couple of hours in school even though it might be a pain in the as* for you to do. Instead of packing 1 sandwich for lunch maybe make 2....or 3 :) and eat them throughout the day, or if your not up for that then pack a protien shake and drink it between classes but dont depend on just protien shakes as your source of protien, then at lunch time have a sandwich. That of course is up to you. Since your young you also might want to pick up some precooked chicken that you just reheat in the microwave, doesnt always taste the best but it makes it easy for me to come home and put some in and then have a meal within 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Try to up the amount of food that you take in over the next week or two overall, and shoot for at least bodyweight in protien. Make sure like i mentioned in my first post to tell us about any past training youve done, since that will help us determine what type of program would be good for you to try. hope this helps a little bit

for eric here is a sample list of Strictly non-edible things
-cars
-houses
-plastic
-rugs
-electronics
-paper
-paint chips (there's many more but ill fill you all in on those later):)

Are you kidding? I just thought it was funny what you said about it being edible. I assure you if I didn't approve I would make it clear why and not just make a joke :) .

Oh, and thanks for the list :33: , I'll mull it over. Paint chips, huh?
