First, I absolutely love this thread. Second, I have been training for a long time now and have definitely been guilty of following the "program" or chasing the dream of "optimal" for no other reason than that was what I was/wanted to do. Third (and last ) I continue to learn more about training from D, Eric, Pity, Wolf and many others regardless of how much time in the gym they may have because, through painful personal discovery, it is not how much time you spend in the gym it is how you spend your time.

Behind the head barbell press
