Default Polyphaisc Sleep + Training

Hey guys I was wondering if my new sleep schedule would make it impossible to continue to make progress in bodybuilding. I had been gaining strength steadily on the rippetoe program for about a year and a half before I went polyphasic recently. For those of you who do not know what polyphasic sleep is, there is an article on wikipedia I can't post a link to because I do not have enough posts.

Essentially I'm sleeping 4 hours a day by taking a 3 hour core sleep + 3 20 minute naps. I understand you need sleep to gain strength but my question is how much sleep? Would I recover at all from a workout during a 20 minute nap? Finally, could I still gain strength if I split the workout up into multiple periods so that I could have a nap afterwards? I am confident my diet and my workout program is effective, as I've continued to see gains for months and months, this is the only new change I have introduced. If I continue on this sleep schedule and keep trying the ripptoe program, would I just be wasting my time?
