Default puke

Its common to feel like your going to puke after either a really intense workout or hitting your abs really hard isn't it?

Aaaaand I know this part isn't related to training but I thought I'd ask while on the subject of puking....but, how bad is it hurting me if I just absolutely can not drink a protein shake till at least 45 minutes after a workout without it coming right back up?

I don't think it's common...

What does you workout look like?

I have a gainer shake after every workout and its like my favorite part of working out. lol

Scenario A: Don't take the shake for 45 minutes.

Scenario B: Take the shake right away, puke it up.

that is weird. is protein the only thing in it? lactose intolerant? dairy allergies?

ahhh haha I know, whats the point in forcing it down when it'll come back up, I just wait till I can drink it...just wondering if anyone else has that issue. And its not just the protein shake, consuming anything besides water or my endurance/recovery shit makes me want to puke. Although I have always had a somewhat sensitive stomach so maybe that has something to do with it??? Not sure exactly but I will eventually try to figure out a way to fix it but was just wondering how much you guys think its effecting me not being able to take that shake when I need it most.

i don't like to eat anything for awhile afterwards....but i can drink fine

WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I think I couldn't drink my protein shake because I drank too much water during my workout, I drank far less water and the shake went down just fine... =D

Well I see that you solved your problem but since this question wasn't answered, the answer is it will not affect you much at all in the long run. 5 minutes later, 30 minutes later, 45, an hour is not going to amount to a whole heck of a lot of difference in the long run. That whole thing was blown out of proportion. I know...I was one of the persons who helped blow it up..if only be discussing it incessantly.

Pre-workout is probably more important anyway but nutrient timing in general has been completely hyped beyond any reality. That is, any reality that we currently have the ability to perceive, lol.

Exactly. I didn't know that I was "implying" anything though. All in all I think I was being pretty straightforward and clear

I'm not saying don't do the post workout shake and don't have a good preworkout thing in place. I'm not saying not to bother with it at all. I'm just saying don't get all precious over it and sweat every little detail of it down to the last gram and second.
