Pull Over Question
I was going to do pull overs but I can't get in the right position to do it right because of how my bench set is, as shown here ... http://www.exrx.net/weightexercises...BBPullover.html
Is there another way to do them? Or is there some other exercise that works out the same muscle thats I can do? I only have DB's and BB's with a bench press set |
I can't see your link but lay sideways on the bench so your head hangs off one end and the rest of your body from your back down hangs off the other end. The only thing that should be touching the bench is your upper back. Then you can do a dumbell pullover.

does dumbell pullovers work the serratus muscle on the side or the rib cage? i think there are a few exercises on that in the arnold book let me take a quick look..........it says to add a twist to your curls but there are also machines to do pullovers i think there is also hanging serratus crunches but i dont know if u have any place where u can hang from in your house but what u do is just sway the body side to side in a controled motion. i think if your bench doesnt work u can also do this on your bed (the dumbell pullovers) i think the point of the exercise is just to stretch them out lightly and it slowely developes them but to also put a little bit of resistance in with them also

Yes, and if you go really heavy, a small floormat over the bench to provide extra cushion will help with the bench digging into your back, pulling focus away from your pullovers. |
Pullovers are a good exercise for beginners. But, once you start to get really heavy, it's not practical. The dumbbells are way to long to execute with near perfect form.

I never heard of that happening, but I could see it being a problem.

Arnold S. is the one who pimped it out. He absolutely swears by them. :)

Guaranteed that it's the last exercise he does for chest. I could see him doing that last for about 20 reps or so with super strict from.
