Depends on how much volume. What seems to work the best across the board for natural lifters is 2-3 days. The rule of thumb is the lower the volume, the greater the frequency.

Absolutely.

Anything's possible..Since you just started lifting, I think you have a better chance than others who have been lifting weights for years. However, it's also largely genetics. Your mom and dad either gave you 20" arms or 15" arms.

What the hell is your bodyfat up to??

WAAY too much, which is why they aren't growing as big as you'd like. First of all, sets of 6 for your arms isn't enough..Shoot for 12-15 reps IMO (case dependant).. My arms got up to 19" (naturally) once I stopped doing all that direct arm work..What I mean is mine grew best when I was focusing more on heavy pulls (barbell rows, pullups, pulldowns, ect.). At that point I was only doing 2, maybe 3 sets of 15 reps as an afterthought.

My advice is to drop most of that curling routine.

BTW, curling a 25 pound dumbbell is in NO way going to give you big arms. You need to focus your energy on strength, not volume. Also, your triceps make up 2/3 of your upper arm, so you also need to really focus on those as well.

Question, what's the weight you're benching, rowing with?

thanks for the info.......btw......my body fat is 18%.....i know its high.....but i fell good......and i dont look all that bad......see i see what you are saying with the large muscle group excercises......only one prob.......i work out at home with DB's.........it sucks......35lbs DB are the heavy-est ones i have.....so when i bench press with them i do 15 reps of 15-20......but its weird because my chest seems to be growning the fastest, i have no prob with the progress im showing on my chest.

And your already using all your weitght. Start working your triceps directly as 0311 said, if you aren't already, and you'll hopefully see some size from that. But you're not going to reach your goals without more weight.

I guess that explains why you're doing 16 total sets curls with 10 light weight sets. Thinking that if you add more and more volume you'll see growth that way? Doesn't work that way, I'm afraid.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

I'll agree that adding more weight is the next logical step. If your using 35lb dumbells to bench with, start doing push ups, add in body weight movements like dips, chins, pull ups ect.

Or just go join a gym, that would be your best bet.

I would suggest joining a gym, I know at most clubs if you get a job there you get a free membership, so why not try and work like an hour there on the weekends? that's what most of my freinds do. You need access to more weights , bars and plates so you can squat, deadlift, row, bench all of those wonderful exercises

1) it depends on your routine.
2)YESSSS most definitely
3)yes but it will be muscle and fat
4)see answer 3

All I can say about your arm routine is that it is WAAAAAAAAAAAY too much. The way you build big arms it not direct arm exercises. That is what the magazines want you to think. The best thing for big arms is compound movements like bench and rows.
Also, you have to be patient. Having goals is good but you've just started and from the looks of it you might have gained a little too much fat and not enough muscle from what your doing now. If your looking to get big might I first suggest Max -OT for 1-2 months, take a break then try HST, after that I would go with DFHT or 5x5. If you look on this board in the workout section where the stickies are there is a list of routines you can do.

The only reason I say Max-OT first is because I think it is very basic and new lifter seem to understand it more. But after your here for a while you will start to under stand how the body works and be able to prepare a better routine. Also, if you're just starting out your body will respond to anything.
