i was thinking...if my legs were long enough...using them for hip extensions....i found a super cheap one...but..i'm not sure where the support pads will end up on my legs..

NEVER do Roman chair...just as an fyi. Very bad....herniated disc waiting to happen. It's how I got my bad back. Repeated flexion and extension of the lumbar spine under low magnitude load is a no-no. There is no good reason to do this movement. Also ends up pulling in the abdominal muscles and causing an imbalance there. That can fuck up the shoulders as well...it goes on. Don't do it.

For the extensions if you can't adjust the pads properly I wouldn't bother.

i actually don't know what these are either. i just remember reading arnold's encyclopedia a few years ago and how he used to do them for abs....

That's just a hyper. Those are not usually called "roman chairs" in and of themselfves these days but I know they sometimes are. I was referring to sit-ups though not extensions. It would be doing a sit-up on that or any sit up where you elevate yourself and hyper-extend the bottom portion of the movement.
