Unhappy shoulder injury?

Hi guys.

I just started working out again after a pause of almost a year.

before then i had some light pain in my shoulders, so i always lifted light in shoulder exercises.
in my break all my shoulder pains disappeared, and i did not put any more thought into this.

now after a few month back in the gym, the pain is getting back. I still do light lifting in shoulder
exercises, but i have heard that maybe to heavy/wrong lifting on the benchpress, can be the reason
to. do any of you heard of this, and maybe have an idea of what to do here?

thank you!

Try doing a lot more exercises geared towards strengthening your shoulder joints/rot cuffs. Keep an eye on your form for chest presses, especially incline. A lot of ppl put too much strain on their front delts when pressing. A slight incline is all you need to help eliminate front delt usage.

lowering the weight and concentrating on proper form could be beneficial as well. I had the same problems awhile back - one thing that has definitely helped me out is John Meadows banded over and backs. stretches out your pecs but helps with shoulder flexibility and strength. Look it up on youtube!

Cheers.

If the exercise is not done in proper way then you it can arise so many problems it can cause the pain and also can make the bones broke.

Hi Mseven,

Hope your shoulder pain is not serious. But seriously, many people are focussed on lifting more and heavier weight doing bench press but they neglected doing other important weight training for stabilization like external rotation and especially rotator cuff exercises. When you bench press there are four tiny muscles that play a major role in whether your bench press takes off or if you're going to suffer from a bench press blowout. Pay attention to working out these muscles will help improve your bench press performance and prevent you from suffering shoulder injury too.
