Default shoulders

i want to work out my shoulders for strength. can someone suggest weekly work out schedule to train them? i work them out maybe once a week. im thinking about 3 times a week but i dont know if thats too much or too little. i was thinking 5x5 shoulder press one day, 5x5 clean and jerk another, and maybe a few sets of shoulder raises another day.

Why don't you try a full 5x5 program ? Something like Bill Starr's for example. That way your shoulders will grow no problem. SHoulders are workout when you do dead's , bench , presses. So with the program they will be hit (in some way) everyday you train.
Don't just focus on the shoulders , but bring everything up together.

^^^Totally agree...whatever you do just focus on bringing everything up together.

Just want to touch on a little point. You don't work out your shoulder for "stength". You can work them out for size, sure but bodyparts don't really correspond with strength unless you want to be a world record holder at laterals or something. So focus on MOVEMENTS. You bring up the strenght in movements and the body will follow.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

no you wrote it well. it just took me an extra read to make sure i got it the right way. if im not mistaken you are saying that if he is refering to his shoulders in a bodybuilding sense instead of maximal strength. since he wants to get them stronger he should refer to it as getting his MP numbers better, or his jerk numbers.......................thats what you are talking about right?

Exactly...in a nutshell, strength is about movements, not bodyparts.
