Uneven pecs

My left pec is much bigger than my right pec. Since my right arm is my dominante arm, my left arm is working harder therefore gaining more. I use dumbells, should i increase the weight on just the right side? or should i just let my right side catch up over time

You could use more weight or let it catch up over time but are you sure your not looking in mirror to much and seeing things?

no, its definitely much bigger

how long have you been training for (out of curiousity). also to fix the problem start incorperating dumbells into your pec workout and i guess put more weight on one side than the other (not to sure about this one the more experienced lifters here will help you with it though) how much bigger is the other one?

well ive worked out for 2 years, then i was off for almost a year due to an illness. I started working out again 2 months ago. I've gained 15 pounds in the 2 months. I guess I'll just have to have patience and let it even out over time. I've heard of this problem before with other people but i guess it just takes time  I will try to put more weight on my right side but I'm not sure how it'll feel having a heavier weight on one side. I'll have to try it out and see. I can't really tell you how much bigger the left one is but I can tell you that it very noticeable.

any idea of how the problem happened? i dont think its because your right arm is dominate unless you really use it frequently oppose to never using your left? trying to come up with ideas on how it could happen do your work out at home maybe your bench isnt level so it messes up your lifts (happened at my house) hows your form when your benching is the bar straight or is one side higher than the other that could be the problem to me youve probably focused on one are more than the other and thats why its happened

im pretty sure there's no problem with my equipment. When i do bench presses or bench flyes, i can feel my left side working harder, but ill definitely check the level of my bench. That's some good thinking there :D

lol yea i guess you could say that its what happened to me on my first bench, probably not the problem though i would just say your focusing more on one side then the other and your form isnt correct

Has the one side gotten bigger than the other.

I mean, you started with one pec bigger than the other, but have you seen any growth in the two months you've been working out on EITHER side?

I would think that if the bigger side was getting larger, then the samller side would too. Eventually it (the smaller side) would grow at a faster pace than the bigger one, thus evening things out.
