You can let your muscles heal completely. Let the CNS calm down for a while. It can help with the mental part, too.
I would try not to do anything too physical during the week to make sure it is a true week off. That is, no mountain biking, don't play hoops or tennis for 3 hour straight, no cardio, etc.
And, don't worry, you won't look like (and lift like) Screetch Powers in a week.
