A good way to shed bodyfat in a short period of time is a CKD diet. Many people on this board have done it and had great experiences including me. The only thing is that it gets old pretty fast even with the carb refeeds, but if done right it works wonders for quick fatloss. Do a search for it and there should be some good information.

One thing to keep in mind is that you need at least 1.5 - 2 grams of protein per Lean body mass for muscle maintenance/growth otherwise your weightloss could be including large amounts of muscle. Just keep enough healthy fats in your meals so your body doesn't convert the protein to glucose and use it for fuel.
