Absolutely, I agree with everyone, here.

The one thing I would mention, though, is that whey protein can supress the appetite longer than other sources. Studies have shown this, but it's not clear why.

So, if after, say, that morning whey you find your appetite greatly diminished later on, it may be a sign that you need to take in a little good carbohydrate along with your shake. It won't slow down absorption all that much, and should help counteract that appetite suppressant effect. You certainly don't want to find yourself eating less of all the food you need to gain.

It may not be a problem for you, anyway. I only mention it so that you recognise it if it does occur.
