However, and I don't subscribe this to you (0311), we shouldn't base our ideas of how a real martial artist "fights" on the movies. Even accomplished fighters in the movies are choreographed; doing what looks good for the camera, and what the camera can follow. With some exceptions, they themselves are not responsible for the choreagraphy. Hollywood employs professional fight choreographers to achieve that stylized look.

Now, I like a good kung fu movie, but I appreciate more when fights and violence are portrayed realistically. Without the stylized glamour. More like the UFC, in a way. But that isn't what most people want to see. Even with Snipes and all his fancy kicks, I don't assume that is his true fighting style. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Snipes has anything to do with the choreagrphy in the Blade films. He may surprise us. I doubt it, but it's possible.

But again, I agree with your statement in general.
