I knew I should've made a distinction!!
AM is referring to doing ALL reps at a slow 5-0-2, ect. tempo..Which IMO is in fact pretty worthless. He's saying all reps should just be natural..3-0-1, ect..All OVT does is a superset utilizing both the natural tempo of a heavy compound with a lighter isolation.
IMO, using supersets with compounds as a means to increase total TUT is very effective. However, trying to lift with a drawn out cadence forcing you to use less weight IMO isn't especially beneficial..Which is the point he was making.
