I've begun to just assume most people are talking about parallel or above when they say squat. It's an epidemic.
I started out doing A2G's. Two things I always did was A2G's and kicking and punching the heavy bag. NEVER had a knee problem. Know when I did get an injury?
Right after I decided to squat parallel for a while. I had always went all the way down just because that's the way I thought it was done, not because I had any real knowledge at the time. But for a short time I got duped into squatting parellel out of the mistaken belief that more weight would equal better gains, period. I felt the pressure in my knees, which I had never noticed on A2G's.
The first time I started working out on the bag after doing those parallels for a while, I threw a kick and POP, there goes my knee. It gave me problems for quite a while. Coincidence? I think not.
I actually credit A2G's with making my knee pain free now.

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.
