I know that this topic has come up a lot on other boards too.

This is the most common answer: "I've been doing it for years and had no problem..."

Just about the silliest, unscientific response I can think of. However, problems were not the point of me posting this. Heck, the avidin in raw eggs whites tightly binds to biotin and so theoretically could cause a biotin defeciency. But that doesn't mean you're guaranteed one.

The point is that if you eat them raw your wasting a great deal of the protein.
