Many times women, when they're complaining about something simply don't wan't you to help them they just wan't you to sympathise and comfort them. Not to sound like Doctor Phil but the emotional considerations come first and the practical considerations come second.

Obviously every woman is different but I have found that 1. You can offer your help and maybe they will listen to you and take what you have to offer or 2. you can wait for them to ask for help and in the meanwhile see above. But until they say: Help Me don't even bother: you're probably wasting your time!

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.
