it really depends on the movement. There are trunk twists that you use a medicine ball to throw back and forth.
I wouldn't use weight till you've been doing these for 6 month or so on the ones that do not require weight, e.i., pushups, box climbs, etc. And if you were going to add weight it would be small just because of the bouncing and jerking motion some of these have.
