Thanks for the advice guys, I decided to do around 4 grams preworkout. So far I can actually notice an increase in energy at least for the first half of my workout (doing long DFT 5x5 days). I also am taking it prior to my HIIT sessions which helps since I do them on an empty stomach.
I guess when I took it a while back I was really only taking 2 grams so that was probally the issue.
