Primary Uses: Oxandrolone is an oral drug used to promote weight gain in humans experiencing atrophy of the muscles including HIV- and other muscle wasting ailments.

There are three principal uses of Oxandrolone in popular cycling. The first is to cut fat and to keep muscle mass. The second is to gain strength while staying at the same relative weight (i.e. athletes such as wrestlers and boxers). And the third is to bridge from one cycle to another.

Oxandrolone is a mild, low androgen 17-alpha alkylated anabolic steroid with very low toxicity. Preferred by thousands of men and women users because it promotes protein anabolism and rarely caused adverse reaction. Oxandrolone is primarily used to promote strength and muscle hardness. In the International Journal of Obesity, (1995; 19: 614-624), it was shown that Oxandrolone enhanced body fat reduction significantly in both the abdominal and visceral stores.

Cycles and Stacks: Oxandrolone is not a steroid to bulk up on; yet, it is often part of a bulking stack. It could be combined with testosterone or Methandienone to accent these highly androgenic compounds.

You can add Oxandrolone to a cutting stack, with Stanazol, or EQ for example. Also it has been included in bulking stacks along with a test. It is not toxic to the liver as with other 17AA steroids, again this makes it very sought after. Most novices who cannot bring themselves to try injectables look to Oxandrolone for a first cycle.

Effective Dose: 5-15mg p/day orally for women and 30-50mg p/day for men.

Side Effects: Athletes claim that this drug is unsurpassed in its ability to promote strength without water weight gains. Oxandrolone will not aromatize at any dosage, which makes it ideal for steroid users with potential hypertension complications as well as pre-existing gynecomastia.
