Default Just starting

Hey, my name is Luke, I am 18 years old and within the past couple months have gotten serious about building. Just for some background info, I did karate for 10 years, was always very athletic until an ankle injury in my freshman year that slowed everything down. I'm a musician, not that it has any significance here. The gym I am at right now is relatively small and restricts a lot of what I can and can't do. I've gotten advice and help from my friend Ant whose a member here (and got me to sign up), and a local trainer by the name of Rob. Rob set me up on a rotating 4 day workout schedule that I feel has been working, as well as given me a great number of advice on foods and shakes and all that.

My schedule is 1st day back, biceps and abs, second is chest, shoulders and triceps, 3rd is legs, and the 4th is rest (I was told 72 hours to rest muscles joints and ligaments). The one big problem with my gym, which I know both Ant and Rob have told me isn't good at all is the lack of an Olympic bar, only a smith machine. The good news is I am going to college in the fall and there is a gym right in the same building as my dorm and I'll be incredibly surprised if they don't have more of the equipment I need.

I don't really know what else to say except I've been trying to eat as much protein and carbs as possible, been pushing the weight, and am seeing and feeling a difference. There is so much on this website I don't know where to begin.

I guess that's it for my intro, if anyone has anything to say I'd appreciate it.
