This is the amount I've heard recommended and not just by sup companies. I actually meant to mention that in the context of what I was saying. It certainly makes sense to me that during CUTTING would be the time to do that. Otherwise when bulking and taking in huge amounts of calories and protein in general you're probably good to go, although some glutamine around your workouts may be beneficial.
I looked around but I personally haven't found any real evidence to support this competition theory, but as the others said, may a well separate them if it makes you feel better.
