If you're on a calorie deficit, I'd recommend using casein for the extended release of aminos. For you I would stay away from whey protein and stick to the more slower digesting proteins. You could use casein at any time of the day between meals, and it's very beneficial before bed. If I was in your shoes, I'd get a 50/50 mix of casein/egg white from TP.com. It'll keep the cost down for you, and you'll get a lot more higher quality protein vs. just getting some Optimum Nutrition brand of casein or egg.
