Your thoughts are appreciated. The flip-side to this is that the low-intensity training will also cut down your cortisol levels and put you in an ideal position to lose fat. Cortisol is caused by stress, including the stress of HIIT, so that may actually end up being a detrmient to losing those last few pounds.

I'll certainly keep close track of my numbers and make changes if my body does indeed become accustomed to this plan.
