Yea shin splints I also hear are tiny little fractures. but its not caused by bad form. Its when you start running hard and you havent ran in a while or a long time your legs get stressed because they are not used to the moment of your body weight. They go away with time your body just needs to get used to it. If it starts to hurt worse just take a few days off and your legs should repair.
