These two contradict each other. Stretching relaxes the muscles. I do agree, though you should keep them "warm". Flexing is a good way to do this (but don't look like a tool and start posing in fron t of the mirrors!). Also, merely walking around keeps the blood flowing and heart rate moderately up.
