I came accross this thread on another board that I think really speaks to this issue of cooked vs. uncooked. It's really about whey protein but it's all part of the same thing. There is a really big "raw food" fad going around. Arguing that cooked food is un-natural and dead, etc, etc. It's completely unsupported by science and shows a lack of understanding of how cooking aids in the digestion of certain foods.
I have actually argured that I would go for cold filtrated whey protein vs. some fancy ion exchange simply because it's less denatured and cheaper. But that doesn't mean I'm gonna eat raw meat because IT'S less denatured. I saw an article by that Dr. Mercola dude suddenly saying everyone should eat their eggs raw because the whites if cooked become denatured and useless. Bullshit.
Some of this gets a little over-involved and out there. I'm strictly paying attention to the first few posts.
