Default Famous female body builder, Joanna Thomas, is auctioning herself off for a date!

The world’s most famous female body builder, Joanna Thomas, is putting down her dumb bells to face her heaviest challenge – auctioning herself off for a date.

Joanna from Truro rose to fame after being featured in several TV shows about the world of female body building. Her most recent, Supersize She, followed her preparation for the 2004 IFBB Ms. Olympia, the most prestigious contest in women's bodybuilding. Her amazing 16 inch biceps won her an army of fans. But now the blonde bombshell says she’s searching for love. Her post at 15minutesauction.com says: “Hi my name is Jo, and I'm wondering if you could be my perfect man? Despite being the world's most famous female bodybuilder, I've yet to meet someone that I can feel truly comfortable with.

“Someone mentioned to me the idea of auctioning myself off for a date and, after a thought, I said to myself: what the hell? Why not give it a try?”

Joanna said on the site that she will be donating any money raised from the auction to Truro’s Royal Hospital Treliske where she was born a premature baby. She says: “Unfortunately, the hospital suffers from an almost crippling lack of resources, which is a terrible shame. So, I would like to offer the winning bidder an opportunity to go out for a date with me, while the money is donated to the hospital.

“As you can see, I am every bit a woman and a handful at that! I’m a top IFBB Pro, I won the Jantana Classic in 2001 and was a Ms Olympia contender. My nickname is ‘Buff Barbie!’ From my picture is on this site, I bet you can guess why. So, the man I am looking for has to be confident, comfortable with strong women, and possess a brilliant sense of humour. Age doesn't really matter, but it would be great if you are somewhere around my age, 27, or at least under 60! The date will be something that you will arrange -- so please think of something nice! Happy bidding!”

A spokesman for 15minutesauction.com said: “This is a fantastic auction. We hope that Joanna finds her Mr Right and raises as much money as possible for the hospital.”

15minutesauction hit the headlines earlier this year when Guy Goma, the man mistakenly interviewed by the BBC, auctioned off his blue shirt on the site and raised £15,000 for Oxfam.
