Good call Matt. I'll stop by Sam's Club on my next day off to look around. I remember that they had some nice lookin' smith machines, not that I'm in the market for one. That'll be good if they have those DB's that you can set the weight by turning the knob with. I'd like to get that type of DB for 10-50 lbs worth. The heavy DB's I'll stick to the single metal ones.

All "hardcore members" take note: I took today's ME SQUAT/DEADLIFT off to recouperate from this pretty bad cold. I probably wouldn't have been able to breathe very well between squats anyways. I feel much better having got an extra 2 hours sleep in. Tonight I'll continue eating and pounding gatorade/water just like last night. Makes a big difference IMO. I know it's come up a lot in different forums about working out sick and shit like that, but IMO it's a complete waste of time. If it's the difference between recovering faster so I can salvage the remainder of my workouts or bulldozing through a workout sick, I'll take the recovery... And no, I won't lose strength, I won't lose mass. Instead, I gained a solid day of rest, and this cocksucking cold is that much closer to being erraticated.

Missing today's workout also got me thinking. I'm debating about changing up my days in the gym to maximize recovery between sessions. I'm starting to sling up a lot of weight now, so I'm wondering if an extra day between ME BENCH and ME SQUAT days would increase my strength more. Probably would....

Monday: Rest
Tuesday: ME SQUAT/DEADLIFT
Wednesday: Rest
Thursday: DE/RE BENCH
Friday: DE SQUAT/DEADLIFT
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: ME BENCH

I usually prefer to keep my 2 on 1 off, 2 on 2 off rotation because I love lifting on Sunday and Monday as well as having Friday and Saturday off. This way I can afford a little more volume and intensity into my ME workouts which'll be good. Additionally, the day between ME days can recharge my "sanity battery", which should help keep motivation higher.

Gotta go and think on this.
