It's a flattop. We have to qualify with our rifles once a year. Every quarter with hand guns, and shotguns. I like it. If things went south, I would grab the rifle. I load my shotgun with one round rifle slug, one round 00 buckshot, one round rifle slug, and one round 00 buckshot......
The 00 buckshot is limited in range. The rifle slug is pretty accurate at 100 yards. This is Arkansas, and most people have rifles in their homes. So, I would rather use my rifle in that situation.
