Veggies only yield trace carbs, so they're great for a stomach filler. The reasoning is that sleep is catabolic, so it's always good practice to eat an hour or two before bed... And even more optimal to perhaps eat a slow digesting protein shake OR something like cottage cheese 30 minutes prior to sleep. I cannot sleep without my 40 grams of micellar/egg white mix and about 4 metamucil pills. In case anyone's wondering, the fiber helps slow digestion further allowing for a steady flow of aminos in the bloodstream longer from the protein.
By carbs I meant the milk I use for a slow digest ( 12 g per cup ) I guess it's not much, but still there,That's all.....Of course with high protein (40g)
