Shoulder Update:

Its been about 4 weeks or so since I've been able to lift due to my shoulder injury. I had another appointment with a doctor thursday and she said that my shoulder is good to go. I can lift as long as it doesnt cause discomfort or pain. So I went today and did a few compounds. Bench feels good, deads feel good, squat feels good, military press feels good, and rows feel good. I started off light and was perfectly fine, so I went a bit heavier and eventually made it up to some pretty heavy weights, this was on friday.

Today I woke up and the shoulder was perfect, I hit the gym and found my 5RMs.

Squat: 205
Bench: 185
Deadlift: 315
Rows: 185
Military: 115+ (didnt want to push it anymore)

Overall that one month had a pretty good impact on my strength. Really the only thing not affected was the deadlifts and military, which is weird considering my shoulder was the injured part.

I'm going to be starting the DF 5x5 this week (light weights) and see how I deal with that. I don't foresee any problems, but then again I didn't foresee my shoulder injury. I'll run through the program with a 'slightly less' aggressive loading, possibly done over 5 weeks as opposed to the 4 week loading I just did. Followed by an intensity phase for 3 weeks.
