That has always been something that fasinates me eric. Both Point of view and emotional state with respect to historical events is very interesting. For instance, I've been reading a lot about the cold war lately (cause I'm a dork, and spy shit is cool to me) and the accounts of what actually happened dont just differ by person, they differ by time and context. Every individual retelling of a story is a unique experience, so "history" as truth is not attainable. All you can really hope for is an individuals truthful rendition of what they remember, which is of course injected with emotion, and personal conclusions.

It seems that just about every society believes they are living in the "End of Days", and each society finds logic to support those claims. Personally, i'll go with the most logical approach, this world was here when I got here, it will be here when I'm gone ... BUT GOD DAMMIT THIS WORLD WILL MISS ME
