Default whey protein + glutamine powder

I am 5'10" 210 pounds.
on a 1-10 scale of work out hardness say 1 is easy 10 is very intense, I say i work out at about lvl 7.5 .
I was told only 1 teaspoon of glutamine but when should i take this 1 teaspoon a day?
also how much and when should i take whey protein? I was told an hour before workout, an hour after workout, and then before bed is this right?
I was also told by a different guy take it in the morning and then before bed.
I don't know when I should take it?? Also I don't want it to make me gain weight as I am also trying to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time.
